Cardiff circular dated mileage mark 163.

This is another letter of great local historical interest, and it is obviously related to the previous letter. John and George Scale were brothers.

"Lantrissant, 20th March 1812"
Dear Sir,
I had the pleasure to wait upon My Lord Bute, and communicated your answer to him, he wishes to receive a line from you and Mr. G. S. stating exactly the words you told me, which must be sent to the Lord Chancellor, to be rectified immediately, as the General Qutr Sessions approaches now, I beg you will both of you inform his Lordship, that you are ready and willing to Act as Magistrates and Deputy Lieutenants, by so doing you'll greatly oblige
